We have an exact analysis of oils and lubricants in cooperation with SGS Vernolab.
As an option that can be booked, we offer an oil test of boat engines and generators as part of our inspection. E/M/S in cooperation with SGS Vernolab offers you lubricant analysis and used oil testing for your new boat / yacht. The laboratory results give you information about the inside of the boat engine or ship generator. On the basis of the values determined, damage that has already occurred as well as imminent damage can be depicted with a good probability. On request, the engine oil analysis can also be extended by a technical engine test. Depending on the engine, data such as operating hours, service intervals etc. can be read out. The reading of the engine data as well as an extended engine test within the scope of a sea trial (test drive of several hours with various tests of the boat) can be booked as an order via the item further option.
From now on you can rely on the know-how that SGS has built up over many decades and in 28 countries for used oil analyses. You benefit from the world’s largest database with over 450,000 machine data. You will receive the result together with your E/M/S 1st Boot-Check: fast, clearly and comprehensibly formulated.
With SGS’s Vernolab analysis you can extend the service life of drives and equipment, make optimum use of repair cycles, reduce your risks of unforeseeable damage and use your engine, transmission and hydraulic oil efficiently. Vernolab is now also available in Germany.

The findings of our expert on site can also give rise to a recommendation for an analysis of engine oil or hydraulic oil within the framework of the 1st Boat Check.
